Overview. The Ultimate EKG Breakdown (Second Edition) is a 360+ page, full-color book covering basic and advanced concepts, clinical disorders, and pacemakers. This represents the latest release of the Ultimate EKG Breakdown. This version has a similar layout to the first edition, and also comes in two versions -- the full-paperback version and pocket spiral-bound version.
Second edition updates. Since the first edition, there have been several updates made with nearly double the content. New sections added to this book include wide complex tachycardia differentiation, clinical disorders, pacemaker basics, single- and dual-chamber pacemakers, pacemaker malfunction, pacemaker analysis and selection, and a complete ECG reference guide. Aside from updates made to the previous topics, some of the new topics added to this edition include: athletic heart, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, laddergrams, cardiac transplantation, Brugada phencopy, BARCELONA algorithm, STEMI-ECG equivalent patterns, ventricular parasystole, and ECG coding recommendations. Audience. This book is deal for any medical profession trying to master clinical EKG interpretation, and is especially useful for those with little to know experience. This book is designed to take a learner with little to no experience to an advanced interpreter level. Learners will truly understand why they see what they see on the EKG, and the thought of memorizing details will be foreign.
Formats. There are two formats of this book -- both of which include the same content. The full paperback-version enables extra space to take notes, while the pocket spiral bound-version ideally serves as a reference for on-the-go (eg, hospital, clinic, travel, etc.). The choice between each is simply personal preference. Most will purchase our best deal, which includes both versions.
